Island Instrument Manufacture
Nicolas Delisle

In his small shop in the heart of Montreal’s artist district, Nic Delisle builds contemporary reinterpretations of beloved classics from the Sears catalogue.
Each guitar is built one-by-one, entirely by hand, using responsibly sourced, premier quality materials. Nic weaves a keen sense for design from a bygone era along with modern construction materials and techniques to improve stability, playability and integrity of the instrument.
Each ISLAND guitar is a mindfully crafted, high-functioning tool for musicians that manage to retain the vibe and soul of a old-time beloved pawnshop oddity.

The first HGGS was an inspiring event on the highest level. I expect the bar to be raised the year and the envelope to pushed even further. I’m excited to be a part of the event amongst such visionaries.

The first Holy Grail Guitar Show showcased to what limits the guitar can be pushed as a tool, and to what extent the instrument can express a personal and intimate vision of an individual artist. It was inspiration on the highest level and the bar was set high from the get-go. I expect that bar to be raised this year and I look forward to sharing the experience amongst my peers.
